Mystical Yoga Farm is seeking a Director for their yoga retreat center and permaculture farm on Lake Atitlan in the highlands of Guatemala. The Director of the Mystical yoga farm will be responsible for leading the small spiritual community in accordance with the intentions of the farm.
The perfect candidate will have experience managing a yoga center, farm, or similar facility and be capable of and have a willingness to step into any required role necessary to the functioning of the farm. Experience in teaching yoga and meditation, marketing and financing, farming, gardening, cooking and experience with guest services are all necessary aspects of the functioning of the farm. The farm director will have a willingness to participate in any of these roles as required.
Candidates for this position should be self motivated, organized, with good communication skills, and a strong interest in the healing arts. Moderate Spanish skills and basic computer skills are necessary.
The farm director will have a positive attitude, a calm approach to challenging situations and leadership skills to guide the community in accordance with the intentions of the farm.
Expectations
- Will communicate with and report weekly to the SchoolYoga Institute Director
- Supervise all other staff members
- Supervise all residents and apprentices at the farm
- Create and Implement the farm’s daily schedule
- Be able to lead and participate in the daily meditation, yoga and satsang
- Manage/oversee the workshops, trainings and retreats
- Oversee all farm visits from first point of contact
- Organizes the advertising and promotion of the farm and farm events

Required
- Work commitment of 6 months-1 year
- Must commit to living a yogic lifestyle while living at the farm
- Strong interest in community living with a community of 4 to 10 or more people
- Must agree to promote the vision and mission of the farm
- Previous experience in supervisory roles
- Strong involvement in your local or international yoga community
- Work day: 6-8 hours, One day off a week, One Rest day a week.
