How do I book my stay at the Mystical Yoga Farm?

If you're interested in staying with us as a guest or as a volunteer, please email us directly at [email protected]!

If you're interested in booking one of our upcoming retreats, please follow the instructions in the retreat info to book with that retreat's facilitators.

How do I get to the Mystical Yoga Farm?

We are located on Lake Atitlan, in Guatemala, in a remote, off-grid location only accessible by boat! The nearest town is Santiagio.
Don't worry, it's easier to get here than it sounds!

You can find more info on how to get to the farm at this page here.

What should I pack with me?

During the dry season, from November to mid-April, you can expect sunny warm days up to 90F/32C and cool evenings down to 50F/10C, so you'll want to pack layers. During the green season, we often have thunderstorms in the afternoon into evenings, so you'll want to be prepared for rain as well!

A headlamp or flashlight, swimsuit, raincoat, hat, and any instruments you enjoy playing around the fire are also recommended. We ask that you bring biodegradable soaps, shampoos, toothpaste, and other toiletries.

How can I support your zero waste mission?

We have a zero waste mission, which means that everything is either composted, burned, repurposed, or reused here at the Farm!

You can support this mission by not bringing with you any single-use plastic items, such as plastic water bottles, plastic snack bags, single use toiletries, etc.

If you do have to bring something with you that creates plastic waste, we have a system for reuse in place. We just ask that you thoroughly clean and dispose of the waste in the appropriate containers.

What if I get my moon(period) while staying at the Farm?

We have a special moon-time(period) toilet with a sink available for wombyn and non-binary who are in the bleeding phase of their menstrual cycle.

We highly recommend using a mesntral cup (also known as diva cup, moon cup, etc.), period panties, or reusable pads for your moon-time, to avoid the waste of single-use plastic tampons or pads. We even have menstral cups and reusable pads available for sale if you need!

Can I visit the other towns on Lake Atitlan while I'm there?

Yes! You can access any of the other towns on the lake, like San Marcos, San Pedro, Panacahel, Tzununa, Santiago, San Juan, etc. via private boat from our private dock. You can either take a private boat directly there or take the private boat to Santiago public dock and take public boats from there.

How can I stay connected while I'm there?

We do not have Wi-Fi available at the Farm, because we encourage our guests to disconnect to reconnect to the Earth.

However, if you do need to stay connected, most community members at the farm can offer you a breif hotspot if you need to connect for a moment OR you can purchase a Tigo Guatemalan sim card for your unlocked phone and access LTE phone service in certain areas of the Farm.

What kind of facilities do you have?

Here at the Farm, we are completely off-grid and zero waste. We have compost toilets that are easy to use, filtered running water, and hot showers!
