What Makes This Retreat Different:
This retreat stands out from 1-off ceremonies or weekend immersions, because it’s an extended length of time, which allows for deeper reflection/chill/integration time, as well as more time to connect with community, and the land/lake! We believe that integration is 80% of the work, which is why we have many extra days between all ceremonies, with added integration activities like sharing circles, saunas, sound healings, and more!
Another thing that really stands out, and why people love sitting with us so much, is that we infuse joy, fun and playfulness into each ceremony. We take this work very seriously, with much sacredness, respect and reciprocity, and focused awaresness when needed. That being said, we love being playful at times to lighten the mood and show our humanness and the enjoyment of life!
About The Medicines Served:
2x Ayahuasca Ceremony
1x Huachuma (San Pedro) Ceremonial Hike
1x Cacao Integration Fire Ceremony

Grandmother Ayahuasca
This will be the first two ceremonies of the retreat, to clear and cleanse away blockages, limiting beleifs, traumas and more. Opening your channel to better receive the medicine of Huachuma in the final ceremony!
About Ayahuasca
Ayahuasca — also known as the tea, the vine, and la purga — is a brew made from the leaves of the Psychotria viridis shrub along with the stalks of the Banisteriopsis caapi vine, though other plants and ingredients can be added as well
This drink was used for spiritual and religious purposes by ancient Amazonian tribes and is still used as a sacred beverage by some religious communities in Brazil and North America, including the Santo Daime.
Ceremony Flows
Night 1: Ceremony begins at 6pm. We open the space with a prayer and the first cup. A 45 min silent meditation in darkness after first cup, followed by about an hour singing traditional chants (icaros, saites, and pakaris) with just the voice.
Then we will have the second cup, where we invite the guitar and other instruments in. The songs will be primarily Haux songs from the Amazon jungle in Brazil from the Huni Kuin, Yawanawa tribes, with some portuguese as well. Half way through we will call for Hapé time (a shamanic tobacco powder used for cleansing). After Hapé time we light some candles and invite more joy into the space. After the 2nd cup, the medicine is available until we call the final cup.
After a while we will call for the final cup, after which we will sing english songs and bring more light, softenss and celebration. Towards the end we will open the space for others to share music. We will close with a very special dance to get us back in our bodies. When ceremony closes there will be fruit and soup available for all to enjoy!
Night 2: This will be a similar but slightly different flow. Ceremony will begin at 8 pm. We will start with a silent meditation into chants in the dark again. We will call for Hapé time. The candles will be lit for the rest of the evening.
Then we will have the 2nd cup and bring out the guitar and other instruments. The songs will be primarily Haux songs from the Amazon jungle in Brazil. After the 2nd cup, the medicine is available until we call the final cup. There will be extra encouragement to sing along this evening and use this ceremony to really open your voice and connect with you inner heart song!
We will invite a larger variety of song styles into the space and encourage more dancing and lots of joy to end the 2 night ceremony with Grandmother with lots of joy, celebration, and gratitude for this life. We will have the final call and open the space for others to share their songs. We will close the ceremony and have fruit and soup after.
Style & Training
Jahendo is trained and initiated with the Huni Kuin tribe of brazil. He’s studies deeply with Yawanawa, Shipibo, Santo Daime and countless western mentors. These ceremonies are a unique blend of all these styles, primarily Huni Kuin, giving you a well-rounded approach to this beautiful healing journey!

Huachuma (San Pedro Cactus)
There will be 1 opportunity for us to journey with Grandpa Huachuma, during the medicine Retreat AND an optional additional Full Moon Huachuma Fire Prayer ceremony on February 1st. Each of which will have a different flow. During the Medicine Retreat we will be embarking on a ceremonial hike during the day (10am-10pm,) in which we will be visiting 4 sacred sites. The additional ceremony on February 1st is an all night “FirePrayer”, we will be around our Sacred Fire singing/praying from 6pm-6am. Each ceremony is further described in the paragraphs below.
Both ceremonies, medicine will be served by Jah with support from Sunny and our trusted team of facilitators.
About Huachuma
Huachuma, or San Pedro, is seen as the Grandfather medicine of the Andes. His active alkaloid is Mescaline, which is NOT a tryptamine. It’s in the same family as Cacao and MDMA, with similar heart opening benefits, with it’s own unique subtle energy. In large doses can be psychedelic & visionairy, tho those aren’t it’s primary affects. The effects can last anywhere from 8-16 hours depending on dosage. You will have the choice of how much medicine you’d like to drink.
The main effects of huachuma are heart-opening, deepened state of awareness, profound connection to Nature and deep communion with Spirit. He offers us a deep focus, stillness of the mind, focus. He opens us up to our Prayer, what we want to create in this life, our purpose, our patterns, and how we can become a better person! The most magical effects are that of Clarity of Vision, and revealing our Truest Self and how to embody that.
1st Huachuma Journey ~ Huachuma Hike
10am – 10pm
We will begin drinking the first cup and open the ceremony in our temple Jaguar Hall. We will open the space with prayers, intentions and songs, followed by a short movement exercise to bring awareness to our bodies and energy flow. We will then begin our hike, which has 3 pit-stops along the way. There is about 2hrs total of hiking, and we will hang out in each pitstop for about 1-3hrs each.
Our 1st alter is Grandfather Rock, an ancient Mayan altar with 1000s of years history being used as a sacred site for prayers, offerings and connection to the Spirit Realm. We will connect with the Earth, leave offerings, pray, sing Earth songs, and make a flower mandala together.
Then we hike up to the 2nd altar.
Our 2nd alter is deep in the forest at an ancient Mayan water altar. In this space we will sing water songs, have a special water blessing ritual, honor the divine feminine, and drink our second cup of medicine. Then we will hike up to our third altar.
Our 3rd alter, Base Camp, will be at the top of the mountain with a spectacular view of the lake and open skies. Here we will connect with the air element, sing air songs, make prayers, and chill out and meditate in silence. We will also serve the sacred medicine of Rapeh, which will bring grounding and clarity. We will sing songs from the Brazilian Amazon to help move the force of the medicine. After about an hour, we will then head back down the mountain and return to MYF!
There will be a short period of freeflow, with fruits available, option to swim in the lake, connect with the family, or be in your own space. This will be for about an hour.
Our final destination will be our Sacred Fire where we will anchor in our prayers, sing more songs, and connect with the fire element. There will be loads of offerings available throughout the night for you to pray for your life, your family, your business and continue to anchor in your intentions!
The ceremony will then close, soup will be available, sauna will be hot, and fire will stay open for prayers, and more songs!
Optional Huachuma ~ FirePrayer ~Feb 1st
6pm – 6am
This is our bonus ceremony, that we used to close the medicine retreat with. We will be all night around our Sacred Fire, praying, singing, dancing, and connecting with the elements. The medicine will give us plenty of energy to stay up all night, and WOW, the sunrise will be the most magical moment of our lives!
The night is divided into 4 rounds from sunset-sunrise. Each round will be based on an element. We start with Earth connecting to our bodies and the physical world. Then move into water to connect with our emotions, the gift of life, and the divine feminine. Then moving into the air element where we connect to our Mind, our vision, our meditation and our vastness. Then we move into Fire to welcome the rising sun. This is when we connect with our Spirit, our purpose and our passions and celebrate the sweet life we live.
Throughout the night there will be certain songs to connect with each element, lots of space for others to share songs, fun guided activities, places of silence and stillness, sound healing, and more. An abundance of offerings are available throughout the night to make lots of prayers and give thanks! We will end at sunrise with fruit, snacks, soup and a glorious lake swim and dock party!
Style & Training
Jahendo has spent 10 years working with huachuma in a variety of ways. He’s studied with the Qero people of the Andes, has followed the Red Road, studied with various western healers, and trained in a variety of healing modalities.
Ceremonies are held in a free-flow fusion style blending many aspects of ceremony. Held with deep reverence, in prayer, connection to nature. He holds the utmost respect and integrity in ceremony alongside his beautiful partner, Sunny!

Ceremonial Cacao
Our final ceremony of the week will be with the gentle yet powerful cacao to integrate the experience, reflect on our intentions and celebrate around the sacred fire!
About Cacao
Cacao is a beautiful, gentle, heart-opening medicine. She connects us with our prayer, opens our voices to sing, brings a lot of joy, and helps us to lighten up!
Cacao is a vaso-dilator, meaning that it increases the size of the veins to allow more blood (energy) flow. This enable us to open our hearts, feel our energy and connect with our community. It also contains Theobromine (food of the Gods), which is a stimulant with a sustained energy (unlike caffeine.) Also contains Anandamine (the bliss molecule) bringing more happiness and connection. Guatemalan cacao has VERY little caffeine, which is not noticeable at all. It’s also high in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals!
Ceremony Flow
We will be closing our retreat space together with Mama Cacao around our Sacred Fire. To release the directions, give gratitude to all of the medicines, give offerings, make prayers, call in what we will be taking with us from this retreat, and sing devotional songs of the heart! We will work with cacao to open our hearts, learn how to use her as an integration medicine, and connect as a community one last time!
Additional Offerings Throughout the Medicine Retreat:
This retreat is more than just a few ceremonies! We carefully craft every aspect in between the ceremonies to give you a well-rounded holistic healing experience. We believe integration is key, this is why we include extra activities to ground in the lessons.
Some of the integration activities included are group integration circles, meditation, yoga, sound healing, sacred saunas, plant baths, a song study, and many more little offerings worked in as we go.
Option to add on wellness offerings from our Wellness Staff like a massage, reiki, 1-1 Qi gong, etc.
Integration Circles
These circles will be offered multiple times throughout the retreat. This is a time where each person gets to share about their process, their experience within the medicine, any challenges or breakthroughs, and how these lessons can be integrated and embodied moving forward. The best part about a retreat like this is the added integration time and support. This gives more time to embody the teachings and lessons before returning out into the world again!
Meditation & Yoga
This is a beautiful way to bring the medicine fully into our bodies and minds so that we can use the medicine outside of ceremony. The real teachings the medicine gives us is how to live a better daily life, without the need for medicine.
Meditation and Yoga is the perfect daily practice that can help us maintain stillness, reflect on our journey, expand our overall awareness and bring more presence. It’s also a beautiful ways to get our bodies feeling good between long ceremonies.
Sacred Sauna
in our sauna we practice silence, singing and praying. A perfect way to practice songs and get into a natural trance state. It’s also a beautiful way to sweat out any toxins and release any lingering energy from the ceremonies. Leave feeling reborn, refreshed and revitalized!
Sound Healing
sound is frequency, and by utilizing a variety of sacred instruments, these vibrations can heal us on a cellular level. It’s a great, relaxing way to integrate the medicine experiences, and get really good rest. In this sober state, we are able to receive visions, reflections, insights, downloads and healing that will assist us in the deep medicine work we will be doing! We will have 1x 2hr sound ceremony, as well as we will have multiple instruments and sound journeys infused into our medicine spaces. Hawk is our master sound healing with over 500hrs of training, and 1000s of hours of practices. He has 4 gongs, 7 crystal tones singing bowls, 10 tibetan bowls, 8 flutes, handpan, rav drum, chimes, and some fun surprises!
Sacred Song Study
As you may have noticed, this is a HeartSong Medicine Retreat! HeartSong isn’t just about songs and singing, it’s also about opening your voice to share your medicine and magic, whether that be through the way you communicate, sing, or pray! In this offering we will converse about the meaning of sharing your HeartSong with the world. We will give more information about the different kinds of songs shared throughout the retreat. We will share where they come from, what some of the meanings are, proper ways to carry the songs in reverence for the Indigenous people who have passed them down to us.
